Can animals help us learn the message of truth?
Animals help us remember what love is all about!
Animals have a lot to show us about love and understanding. Have you ever had a day where you felt like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed and needed a restart? Try to think about your loving pet. They can remind you of love quickly and simply.
They bring an ever unraveling world together and work against the forces of darkness. God's animal kingdom can show us quickly and easily what love is. They do this with their little kisses, the twinkle of their eye, soft fur, purrs, and excitement.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says-
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hope, always perseveres. (NIV)
Animals are patient and kind. Though they remember, they are extremely forgiving and rejoice often in seeing your face. They frequently love without conditions and even when they have been hurt. They continue to strive for what is good and persevere even in the face of adversary.
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. (NIV)
Have you ever felt at peace with your pet just relaxing on your lap? I love that feeling. You are not worried about tomorrow but are simply relaxing. You are experiencing love and relaxation with your pet. Reflect on these moments when you feel tense.
1 Peter4:8
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” (NKJV)
Animals help us forget our wrongs and they do not judge us for our mistakes. They do not place us in categories. They simply adore and love because they see and feel deeply. They forget about yesterday and remind us of today and right now.
Ephesians 3:15-19
From whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. (NASB)
Animals have the ability to root us and ground us in love
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. (NASB)
Cast your burdens aside. Let Jesus lighten your load today. Hug your pet.
1 John 3:16
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. (NIV)
I hope this gave you a chance to focus on love today and feel happy. Sometimes life presents us with too many things that make us forget. Have a bright and wonderful day!
