      Guinea pigs come in all sorts of sizes, shapes, and colors.  Some are thin and small, while others are plump and quite large.  It is easy to think that they all behave the same but they certainly have unique personalities.  
       There is one thing that most guinea pigs have in common and that is that they love to lounge.  There are a variety of beds and bedding options for guinea pigs to enjoy.  You can even make your own bedding out of fleece. Take a look at the above video of a DIY guinea pig fleece bed. 

   Since they enjoy laying about, it is important to give them a nice place to rest

            This location can be a bed, bedding, or a mix of both.  I have used all types of bedding with my guinea pigs.  The best bedding that I have ever used for my guinea pigs was a soft granule bedding made of recycled paper that was mixed with lavender.  Kaytee now makes soft and absorbent bedding with Lavender!

This animal bedding is more absorbent for guinea pigs versus the granule style below.  They both are good but if I had a choice between the two I would choose Kaytee Clean and Cozy.

I have used a thick and cotton-like recycled paper called Carefresh. This bedding is somewhat absorbent and also extra comfy. 

        There is a large variety of bedding for a guinea pig. Guinea pigs really enjoy creature comforts.  If you use bedding like wood pellets, it would be a nice touch to add a really cozy bed as well.  Even if you use the most comfortable bedding, guinea pigs love to cuddle up in a cozy fleece cup. Two very well known brands of bedding are Carefresh and Kaytee.

• Fleece liners (buy your own fleece) or buy stronger liners that are heavy duty and designed for guinea pigs
• Cage Liners
• Wood pellets

      There is a large variety of actual beds for your guinea pig. There are houses, cuddle cups, hammocks, floor mats, and igloos for your guinea pig.  The sky is the limit when it comes to creating a comfy spot for your piggy.  There are so many shapes, colors, and material choices for their beds.  I think you will enjoy picking out the best spot for your guinea pig to lay its sweet head.
